I think Garvey had a secret family that ended up bringing him down, financially and professionally. From what I can tell he's one of those washed up motivational speakers now.

Isn't Garvey totally bankrupt now, or something like that? I like to think of George Brett beating up Steve Garvey in a fist fight in the parking lot after a hotly contested 1983 exhibition game between the Royals and the Padres. That would be trump teezy.

ESPN Classic finally wised up and started showing Cheap Seats again. My DVR has never been happier. If you don't watch this show, you really should.
