I have added a favicon to the site. That's the nerd term for the little graphic that you see on the left of the web address in your browser.
Ours is just the "S" from the logo.
Could you do me a favor and click around the site a bit and see if it stays there on each page you're looking at? It's staying there for me, which is good, but I thought it was going to take more work than I put in. Maybe I got lucky this time.
There is also a new Weekly Waste graphic that is reminiscent of both new age album art and the Toronto Blue Jays in the 80's.
Barely. I had to be walked through the process. But, it worked. So, the site is on a more reliable server now, and things should be easier for me. And it's still free, thanks to my job. I have been spoiled by never having to pay for hosting for the site. It's nice.
Anyway, all is well. I just have to remember to renew the domain name next month.
I've been having issues with our server. It's a long story, and a boring one. So I will spare you the details. But, to fix these issues, I'm moving the entire site to a different server tonight. So, if there is weirdness going on (especially between like 7 and 9), don't panic. Everything should be back to normal and better than ever, and you probably won't even notice it.
I'm glad you guys like them. Fargo sent me an email saying something like "Wow, Bryan Rock. I used to ignore that guy in high school and now he has his own artist page on Sly Records!"
Yes, we're really filling in the gaps.
The Youth In Asia page is coming soon. There will be photos.
And, if anybody wants to add anything to any of the pages, let me know, they are always works in progress.
Seriously, getting all of these artist pages together has forced me to remember a lot of little things that I have forgotten over the years. Some of the dates and names are fuzzy but they will only get better with time. And, yeah, it does make the label seem like we have had this huge roster of talent, which is pretty funny to me.
The pages look great B. Can't wait for the Youth In Asia one. There better be some sweet photos.
As for my 4 bands, its pretty sad, huh? I am glad you are enjoying my craziness.
Yeah, it's a lot of fun taking a look back. And it makes it look like we've had a serious roster of bands across the years.
If you guys come across any spelling or grammar errors in any of the new updates or anywhere on the site, let me know. I end up staring at it for too long and lose a proper perspective.
These are awesome. It's like, all of a sudden I can remember a couple years of my life that I had thought lost to time. It's kinda fun reading about Erick Alley as though I wasn't him too.
My favorite part: Eric referring to all these different bands that were comprised only of him in such an individual manner.
I thought under Myspaces we could put a link to the Nepasa Myspace. They used to call themselves Novel and are an official Sly Records band. Jong Won put up the site a few weeks ago as a response to my nagging him for info.
Also I think we should put one of Daily's websites under the "people we like" part. That guy has done a tremendous amount for us.
The archive page is awesome. You are truly in ball kicking mode as of late.
Had too much caffeine and ended up getting productive on the site tonight.
Updated the links page, check it out and tell me what I need to add, I'm sure I forgot some stuff.
Also, I made a main archive page, which can be accessed at the bottom of the weekly waste page. I think this will be the easiest way to keep track of everything. Also updated the long lists of archived stuff to reflect the last five weeks of updates. The last items on the lists won't link to anything until the update next week.
