I don't touch middle school. Every once in a while I'll do it if I have to but it is no fun. I do pretty much K-5. I definitely don't get to play videos all the time. I straight up teach. Kids don't come close to getting the upper hand on me anymore, not since like my first week. The thing is, most have never had a younger guy before and I am pretty laid back. So once I put the one jackhole kid in his place everyone seems to like me. I was such an smart-aleck in school that I can out sass the sassers. The kids love it. And some schools still do rock D.O.L. Isn't that crazy? Stuff like that is what I am talking about down below. It's terrible but some of those sentences are pretty tricky.

I always thought I was a real genius at English until I started subbing. I have the worse time telling 3rd graders where to put commas and colons and all that kind of stuff. I apparently am terrible at editing. I had one today where I was supposed to show the kids how to edit this real nasty paragraph on the overhead. However, the teacher didn't leave a cheat sheet. I had no clue. I totally took too long on the first thing so I wouldn't have to do it. Sad, I know. Wock would have punched me in the stomach.

"It's" is always a contraction of "it is" or "it has." So, to avoid confusion, when you're using it in the possessive sense, when you would normally use an apostrophe, you leave it out. It's a weird rule.

One easy way to check it is to try changing the "its" in a sentence to "his" and if it doesnt make sense, then you should use "it's."

In My Word Coach, you do sort of a short placement test type thing when you first start it, and then the words and the games get harder as you progress and play it more. There's a bunch of different games in it, so it works on definitions and spelling. Nothing too terribly hard yet, but it's getting tougher.

I second EA's post. I was laughing at that as well. Is the vocabulary advanced? And if so, how advanced?

Yeah, it's one of the many extra things they added to 64 when they put it on the DS. You have to catch 7 rabbits with each character (Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Wario) that are randomly strewn throughout the main area of the game, which is big. Then you have to catch 8 silver rabbits, it's a whole big thing. They're annoying to catch, all hoppy and shiz.

In the original version for the N64 you only played as Mario, this one ended up being a lot different.

The N64 controllers were the worst. I broke like 3 of those in one year. I think Donkey Kong 64 was the catalyst...

Super Mario 64 DS: Completed with all 150 stars and all 28 rabbits caught.

That Star Wars game is pretty annoying. The good thing is it's really short, so if you feel compelled to beat it, it doesn't take long.

We're going to have to hook you up with Lego Star Wars. I think they make it for the GBA. It is awesome, straight up.

Super Mario 64 DS progress report: 148 stars down, 2 to go. And then the final battle with Bowser. I like to save it for the very end.

And I do love throwing things, I just don't like what happens to them when I throw them.

97 stars down, 53 to go. Dude, this game is awesome. Just as fun as the original Super Mario 64, but with multiple characters (you can play as Luigi, Yoshi, and Wario) and the levels are a bit different. Seems like they cut out some of the harder levels that drove me crazy in the original.

I'm ok with that. I don't like throwing things.

I thought Buff may have been on hard times when I watched him wrestle at a Milwuakie Elks Lodge back in like '03. No joke. He wrestled the main event for the promotion that my friend Will was wrestling in. Buff still had the stuff. I own a really great b-movie breast-fest starring Buff as the villain. You might see it on Skinemax some night if your lucky.

just got done watching a real sport with gumble and he had my personal favorite old buff bagwell. They were discussin benoit and all they showed how many people have died from the lifestyle. Bagwell was eating a hundred vicodins a day then proceede to wash it down with a eight ball and some whisky. Where does the stunna sighn up. If you have hbo it will be available on demand on monday

Wock gave me his old Gameboy Advance (what a super bro) and I have been playing a lot of old school Super Mario Bros 2 lately. It is harder than I remember but I am enjoying it. I remember when I was a kid I thought this game was so daunting and now it doesn't seem that long. I pretty much roll Luigi through every level except for the ice levels where the Princess is key. One of the "improvements" for this version is added dialogue and sound effects that make this game 10 times more Japanese than its predecessor. Now when you grab cherries they say "Lucky!" in a really creepy way and other such things. Also when the pick stuff up it sounds like they are taking a dump. It is bizarre but kind of cool. And then Luigi sewed Toad's a s s h o l e shut and kept feedin' him and feedin' him and...

i have a psp and just got 2k7 baseball its pretty sweet you can rob home runs with a wall dive. Iz anyone else ready for baroids to go and hang his nuts from a dresser and bangin them ****s with a rusty screwdriver. bam!

There are 8 worlds, with 80 levels in all. They're not really divided up evenly, but a typical level will have levels, say, 2-1 through 2-5, levels 2-A and 2-B (which are a bit tougher and not absolutely necessary to beat to get through the world), a tower, and a castle at the end.

There are warp pipes that you access through the traditional method of finding an alternate exit out of certain levels. The world map is on the bottom screen and you can switch worlds quickly by just tapping whatever world you want to go to with the little pen or with your finger. The other day I accidentally warped to world 5 but it was super easy to just go back to world 2 and keep playing from where I was.

New features:

Mini mushrooms that make you super tiny and able to walk on water and access areas you can't when you're normal size.

Mega mushrooms that make you almost as tall as the entire screen and able to plow through everything. They don't show up very often, which is good because it kind of takes the fun out of and minimizes any skill or strategy.

There are blue shells that pop out of some of the ? blocks that give you a kind of turtle suit. Which means you can throw yourself like a shell, which is pretty badass once you figure out how to control it.

And a ton of other variations on stuff from previous games.

It is super fun. I should be able to play this, move on to Mario 64 for the DS, and hopefully finish that up just in time to buy a Wii and get to work on Super Mario Galaxy. Thank god I've got some sick time saved up at work.
