I haven't seen Iron Man yet, but I'm really stoked on it. That was the numero uno comic for me as a youngster. I even had a subscription so that **** came right to my house. "The Dark Knight" looks like it could be good, but I'm sort of put off by Batman as of late. I'm also really stoked for the new "Hellboy" flick (yet another comic I loved). The one win win about "The Guru" is that the hockey team featured is the Maple Leafs, who I effing hate anyway (Biff, I know you feel me on that), so I'll have no problem actually hating the film, though still enjoying the fact that hockey is at the center of the plot.
yeah i thought the hockey angle might lure you in. the trailers had exactly zero funny moments in them. this looked like a crapfest from the start. i at least laughed at a few moments in the zohan trailer.
anybody see the happening? jamie and i went opening weekend. after the village and now the happening i believe jamie would shiv m. night sham-a-lama-dingdong prison style if given the opportunity.
it's been kind of a weak year for new flicks. iron man & the hammer are probably the two best flicks i've seen thus far in '08. and looking ahead on imdb.com there isn't much to get excited about for the remainder of the year.
well the dark knight will probably satisfy because nolan is a stallion.
Yeah, it is a weird predicament. On the one hand, it looks like the worst movie ever released in a theatre. On the other hand the plot revolves around Romany Malco playing in the NHL. So, I will probably break down and suffer through it when it comes out on DVD. I'm not really down with the blackface feel of this and that new Sandler movie. They might as well tape their eyebrows back and play Charlie Chan.
I'll be honest, I thought that it looked pretty terrible from the get go, and I have no doubt that it is. However, the fact that it is slightly themed means I will undoubtedly see it when it comes out on DVD. Biff, thoughts?
Am i the only one who finds great pleasure in the fact that this turd debuted at number 4 on opening weekend? It made a whopping 13.9 million. nice one myers.
