That is super weak. Since I moved I obviously couldn't take my DVR with me so I am going to have to re-record all of the Lordz episodes. Oh this life!
Speaking of Scotty Edge, the only post Lordz appearance I can find of his is on some CD by a band called Burn Unit. The leader of Burn Unit? Former Lordz of Brooklyn member Paulie 2 Times, now calling himself Paulie something else. Musical style? Dancehall reggae! I kid you not. I think the songs with Scotty Edge are just rap songs thought. You guys probably have this at CDBaby. Steal it for me. I really want to hear it. Why couldn't Scotty Edge continue his rap career? I found some snippets of songs by him a few years back under the "Red Edge" moniker" that didn't sound too bad. I have them in the iTunes but they are only like a minute long. This world drives me nuts.
And screw you Dold/Tussin for seeing NOFX. My jealousy is running deep.
Scotty Edge still likes to hit the Budweiser pretty hard. He looks good, though. It's a bummer, they show them doing their new crappy rap rock version of "Saturday Nite Fever" and Edge is on stage with them but they edit it so you don't get to hear his parts.
Yeah, Smelly pretty much rules. That NOFX show is awesome. I just watched the most recent episode last night. It is amazing to me what a ramshackle operation they are. It is ludicrous that they have one, semi-competent manager. I am amazed that Kent can even dial a phone.
I haven't had time to watch the Brooklyn Way and I have been waiting for the episodes I missed to tape. I can't wait to see Scotty Edge! I legitimately love him as a rapper and it pains me that he does absolutely nothing. It is too bad that the McLeer boys find it necessary to make crappy music now. When they do rap tunes they still do it well.
Scotty Edge lives! Did you see him on The Brooklyn Way?
You're not the only one having DVR issues with that show, btw. I set a series recording and it's showing me no love. I have to scan the guide and manually do it up.
Watched the first three episodes of the NOFX show last night and it is awesome. Smelly is a stallion.
I third the opinion on the straight edge documentary. I was surprised there was no interviews from any of the original straight edge bands from DC or Boston. Most of the straight edge kids came off as pretty stupid. What bugged me is they didn't really delve too much into the original philosophy of it, it was just kind of, these kids don't do drugs and are in a gang. On a funny note Angie kept on making fun of how terrible the narrator was and at the end it said it was Thurston Moore. Random.
The NOFX show has been great. I have only seen the first two episodes. I hope that is all there is. My DVR has been screwy lately. It for some reason has refused to record the Lordz show so I will have to catch reruns. My favorite part of the NOFX show so far was when it showed how no one recognizes Smelly. I laughed pretty hard at that.
The Straight Edge documentary wasn't as good as I had hoped. Not really about the history of it at all. They mentioned Minor Threat but had no interview with Ian. Mostly showed kids today and how they've turned it into a way to wail on each other.
Those all look great. That Lordz show looks awesome. It is really too bad that they suck now. They are going with that whole Everlast sound which is just stupid. Call up Scotty Edge, tell AdMoney to rap high pitched again, and make some sweet rap records. I still love their original rap album but they have really lost it.
And call yourselves the The Lordz Of Brooklyn. We all know who you are. The Lordz just seems generic.
