Dude's been putting up new OLD episodes on the YouTube channel. Mid-80's, some of the first 10 episodes. One of them has some Minutemen stuff on it. Videos that you've probably seen before.
Yeah, I can't wait for you to start tackling those. The hour long episodes were the best. And who knew that Bohemia had such an Arizona-laden history? Look at how awesome I am.
I think that Lastra only contributed to it but didn't actually run it. But I remember him telling me that he would give them footage, etc.
When I was with the Widgets at his house he showed us a video, with sound, of Hazel recording "Are You Going To Eat That?" I wanted to have sex with it.
Okay, now I can. Bohemia Afterdark is hands down the greatest thing that happened to me in my teenage years. I discovered so many bands through it that is unreal. I would tape it every Saturday and then spend every Sunday morning watching the episode over and over and over. God bless Bohemia.
This is mostly aimed at Biff, but if you've never seen this show, you are missing out on a huge piece of early/mid-90's Portland culture.
Somebody (I can only assume it's Mike Lastra) has set up a YouTube channel with full episodes of Bohemia Afterdark. It's the later years, so it's the half hour episodes, but they're complete, with commercials and everything.
