I am not sure who to root for. Both Georgia and Texas have kind of douche teams. I'll probably go for Georgia. Although Japan is the powerhouse I have to go for them instead of Curacao. The Curacao team had a bunch of showboaters which I hate in Little League. The Japanese team is full of stallions. They have twins and the whole team wears their hat with the bill in this ridiculous triangle.
Apparently I am too much of an idiot to keep up with this. Let me know what games you are planning on watching so I can DVR them and we can discuss. I have a wedding and Cadeez's 30th birthday party to go to on Saturday but this could be good for my evening.
I just watched a great 10 inning game between Japan and Taiwan aka Chinese Taipei. A kid from Japan hit a huge game winning home run.
Also saw on ESPN a clip of a kid on the Arizona team spitting in his hand before the end of the game handshake after his team had WON the game yesterday. Even if he was kidding what a dill hole. I was glad to see them eliminated today. I was not glad to see Oregon eliminated. Oh well, always next year.
Final games are tomorrow and this weekend. Awesome.
Holy crap I can't believe I missed that! Maybe it's on YouTube. I've been trying to record the games but the guide on cable has been wrong so my DVR has been screwing me.
I love seeing ****y kids get served. Reminds me of myself in Little League.
I was watching a game Sunday night and the pitcher was acting like a total idiot. He made a good defensive play to end the inning and then went running into the dugout jumping up and down for himself. Then they kept on him and you could hear him basically taunting the kid that he had just put out. I already hated him. So next inning, he strikes out the third out, or something like that, and comes running into the dugout, this time he is doing that thing with his hands where he asking the crowd to get up and cheer. You know that thing? So I am really really hating him now. So the next inning, the 6th and final inning, he comes out to pitch. It is tied. This is the bottom of the 6th. The kid up to bat takes idiot's first pitch for a gigantic home run. Game over. It immediately cuts to idiot who is now crying like a French soccer player. Still crying. Now he is crying to his dad. This is justice.
This is why I love the Little League World Series.
Ah, the best part of summer. ESPN is showing games all day today. I am in heaven. Lake Oswego vs. Kent, WA tonight at 7. Let's do this. Bring on the tears!
