Last night's was another sort of historical/storytelling one. They did Lady and the Tramp with Homer and Marge as dogs.

I'll stand by the Simpsons till the day it dies, but that one was rough.

Well, The Raven episode was a Halloween one, and at the time, it was pretty incredible. But it hasn't aged particularly well.

The historical and storytelling episodes are never as funny, but they do have moments. It's kind of the same with the musical episodes. Although the Sherry Bobbins episode is pure gold.

It seems like they have been trying to re-live their "Raven" (which is waaaaay overrated) success for years now. All of the history/shakespeare type episodes just frustrate me. They are never quite as good. I am just saying. They are not. I'm not saying that they aren't funny. They just aren't AS funny.
