no dbout a douch bag. I just dont know why so many athletes cant get a clue. I do feel bad for him a little bit though, fukin kobe didddnt get it this bad and put it in some chicks coolo with out permission.
I think you bring up a whole different kind of argument here to augment my earlier argument of why people are so outraged over a dog fight but not people abuse. I agree, when I am vegan I guess, that people shouldn't be out running around in the forest and killing animals that have done nothing to them. Or are you for killing other animals as long as its legal?
Either way I think we all agree that Michael Vick is a top choice Grade A douchebag.
the stunna just wants to know why this dumb **** couldnt go to mexico like everyone else. I mean they have trading cards with your favorite players in the dog fighting world. He had the money and the time. Also i dont like people who kill dogs either and you cant have dog fights. It`s still ok to go to walmart and get a license to kill any assortment of animals. wtf?
Where do I begin? Has anyone noticed how certain stories just "catch on"? In the cases biff points out, I would argue that Kidd and Patterson (esp. Ruben) don't have the notoriety that Vick does. Certainly Kidd is well known, but he isn't that "superstar" (regardless of his abilities) sort of player that, for whatever reason, people really latch on to. Ruben's just a big tool.
I would like to point out that English girl that went missing a couple of months back, as another example, of stories that people really latch onto. I mean, kids go missing every day! But for some reason, the English media really pimped the **** out of the fact that she had gone missing on holiday in Spain. Perhaps, it was the fact that she went missing on holiday, but that got massive coverage. They even went so far as to play a 4 minute video at the halftime of the FA Cup Final in England (which is a huge event) to try to help get her back. Do they do that for every kid?
No.
Why?
You've got me. Why is it that some stories just generate the interest like that, whereas other stories of kids going missing, or atheletes doing wrong just don't get that same coverage?
But where does this all leave us? I might suggest that the average person can only handle so much in the way of heartbreak (missing children) or outrage (celebrities doing wrong) that only every so often can there be a story that everyone can rally behind. Of course, if everyone rallied around every story like this, we might actually rid the world of incidents like these. But, then, what would the media talk about? And how would magazines, like People, sell copies?
Do you know what I find interesting. Is guys like Ruben Patterson and Jason Kidd can go on abusing women and noone really cares but Michael Vick has dog fights and he is public enemy #1. I am not saying that he shouldn't be. I am just saying that "alleged rapist" Patterson and "alleged wife beater" Kidd should get the same treatment. Oh but I forgot, they are good at putting a ball in a hole.
