I apologize. It's weird in that last scene how none of them have ever seen the game before but Jenny Lewis' character keeps yelling out really specific **** about the warp whistle, etc.
Wock, do not ever insult "The Wizard" again. This is the film that taught us all how to find the first secret warp in Super Mario 3 and don't ever forget that. Don't ever forget that. It also taught us that running away from home is sweet and can lead to money, prizes and a pre-pubescent Jenny Lewis.
I kept looking for this on DVD and then they finally showed it on one of my random movie stations over the weekend. Such Nintendo porn (or one huge advertisement, if you want to look at it that way) for us kids at the time.
Totally forgot that Christian Slater was the big brother. And, if you look closely, you can see a lbst sporting Tobey Maguire and one of Lucas' cronies.
Still, not as good as I remember it. But when Lucas takes the Power Glove out of the briefcase, I got a little excited.
