Don't you worry. I have a ton of them saved up that I'll be sending you. Hollywood's MVP and trying to save money has resulted in me seeing an unprecedented amount of movies lately.
I was sick in bed the last two days and found my into these lovely films:
Youngblood
Finally got around to this 80s hockey gem. Rob Lowe appears in a doorknob stuffed jockstrap in the first 20 mins and the joyride never stops. You haven't lived until you have seen Patrick Swayze on ice. Keanu Reeves appears as a young french goalie. Priceless.
The Promise
This movie was incredible. It was a really original Chinese fantasy sword type movie. I haven't really seen anything like it.
The Russia House
Sean Connery and a Russian-accented Michelle Pfieffer run around and wax esoteric in this b o r i n g spy type movie. I got completely lost and didn't really care.
Shadow Man
Steven Seagal playing, surprise surprise, an ex-CIA guy trying to save his daughter from a kidnap plot. I think this is at least the 3rd Seagal flick with this plot. It still ruled though. His body double is getting really good.
The Postman
This is the 3 hour long Costner flick that kind of hurt, not fully killed, his career. And really? It wasn't that bad. I didn't hate it at all. It has a semi-original story and O-Dog from South Central appears as a really annoying sidekick type character. The villain virtually eats the scenery around him.
The Curse Of The Golden Flower
This movie is like the definition of epic. Gong Li is super hot in this and Chow Yun-Fat is his usual badass self. The fight scenes are crazy and the movie is really flawless.
Murder By Numbers
This wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be. Ryan Gosling is kind of a douche though. That's really all I can say.
