RE: The 200th Update of Weekly Waste on slyrecords.com

Brodie Bruce, former coolest/funniest man alive, how in the hell did it come to this? You break up with your hot first wife, make a movie with Tom Green, and now you further insult me by going Disney. Is there no dignity left in Hollywood? What next? Randall is Quick Draw McGraw? Why is everyone a complete idiot?

Jason Lee, Gary Oldman and Edward Norton should get together and talk about how cool they used to be.

PS. Who in the hell asked for a Underdog or Chipmunks movie? They might as well make a Hair Bears movie while they are at it.

as if the cancel one career couldn't be more dead on this last week i give you this.

first an animated alvin & the chipmunks and now a live action underdog.
jason lee needs a new agent.  but then again i bet disney pays really well.

Thanks again, gents! As you can tell, those archives were some work, but it was worth it. I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out and it's kind of fun to poke around the old stuff, especially the top ten lists.

Funny, I spent some time reading some of the old top ten lists while I was creating the archives, and that voting one caught my eye as well. Totally one of those lists that I have no memory of. The Balboni line is a good one.

I may eventually archive the gomes and records, but that will probably get saved for a later date.

We're back in the swing of things.

As far as the website goes.

I've also been enjoying it. I feel like we are on top of our game right now.

B- I love the new archives. They are everything I ever dreamed of and more. I have been perusing them and it is so nice. It really drives home the sheer amount of crap that is on this site. Some of the old top tens are better then I even remember. I laughed for about 5 minutes at the Top 10 Things Overheard In Our House While Voting one. #3 regarding Steve Balboni in particular put me into uncontrollable giggles.

We are awesome.

i'm happy to see such postive responses for the spruce deuce, and i'm paid the ultimate compliment of it being chosen as the new slang of the week for the big 200.

it made me physically laugh and crack a smile when i thought of it. dold seemed luke warm with it when i shared it with him per the story that inspired the phrase. so then i thought maybe it wasn't that great. but what does dold know...it is brilliant.

and a big thanks for continuing with updating the site. i used to get home from work wednesdays and look forward to the updates. and then they went away & weren't so consistent....so it's nice to have that routine back. nerds like routines.

Thank you my friends, thank you. I've already spotted a few spelling errors, but those are easily corrected.

Only another couple of years until week 300.

The 200th Update of Weekly Waste on slyrecords.com

I third the motion. Of my bowels. As they unleash a Spruce Deuce.

Deuce might work well in the theme of our 200th week update this evening...

I 2nd the genius of that phrase. It is clever on like 9 levels and I can't wait to use it.

And yes, Dold's absence from the board is shameful and disappointing. Could I call him a "spruce douche?"

not really that good but if you find yourself struggling around week 319 for a new slang term

this just randomly popped into my head. "the spruce deuce" the biggest crap you/or anyones ever taken...for reference see spruce goose (i.e. the biggest plane ever built)

maybe it was just funny at the time...but last week i called dold and he was at work on the crapper, and he took the call mid-dump. thanks bro. we'd been playing phone tag all morning so he told me he'd call me right back in a minute when he was off the can. ten, then twenty minutes go by and no reply.

And i just thought to myself...."damn he must be droppin' the spruce deuce" because he shouldn't still be pushing one out. yet here i wait & no phone call.

for a man of his small stature he sure can produce a monster dump. then i thought "i hope for the sake of the ladies in the office they don't share one unisex bathroom"

now mind you i lived in my four-plex for about 4 years w/ 2 previous roomates and had never had a plunger prior to the good doctor moving in. i had to buy one by weeks end.
and i especially liked it when he'd leave an elephant size crap in the bowl and not flush it. now that's classy.

it became some twisted little game to the point where he once snapped a photo of a bowl filling/away from the house dump and left the photo of it somewhere that'd i come across it weeks later. i was digusted - yet somewhat amused.

it just told dold that the board is back up & in full effect. i will occasionally call him out with stories of yesterday until he gets his ass registered & participates.

I've got some things in the works for the 200th official update. Nothing too exciting, but I got to working on stuff over the weekend. So brace yourself for the content.

I think I thought it would be funny because it means I would have been forsaking this board for something else equally geeky.

I certainly would like one. But may have to wait as it's not in the budget right now and the future generations can only get better (though that would mean more expensive as well I guess). There's always Christmas I suppose.

No. For some reason that seemed really funny to me last night. Not quite sure why...

Yeah, it seems like the board took a short vacation for the 4th. We'll get back into the swing of things.

I don't have anything fantastic cooking. Guess I should come up with something this weekend.

Did you really get an iPhone?

the board: a great place to be - a hip happening spot.

usage: "Man were you at Doug Fir last night for the Thermals record release? That place was the board. I might even go so far as to say the Sly Records board."
