RE: Movies I watched over the weekend.

I don't really like going to the theater either, but that was a good one to see on the big screen. Very intense moments. I peed myself several times.

The higher the cost of the movie tickets go, the less I am inclined to brave the screaming kids, conversing/coughing people, higher concessions prices and just all around less comfortable atmosphere of today's movie theater. That being said, 28 Weeks Later sounds like it's a pretty good sequel and considering I enjoyed the first I might just have to brave said perils and see it in before it gets to DVD.

28 Weeks Later - Went and saw this in the theater. Way better than I thought it would be. Just as good, if not better than the first one. Robert Carlyle is a stallion.

Walk the Line - This had been on my DVR forever so the lady and I decided to bite the bullet and watch it. I regretted that decision about 15 minutes into the film. Really not good. Whoever thought it was a good idea to let Joaquin Phoenix sing should be kicked in the ass. He was distractingly terrible.

Mad Dog and Glory - Saw this a long time ago but watched it again for the heck of it. Great movie. There's a scene where David Caruso goes up to this guy in a bar and tries to fight him that makes the entire film.

Leaving Las Vegas - I think this was the third or fourth time I had seen this movie. Maybe the last good film Nicolas Cage made? Nice to see him without a hairpiece.

Honey, I Shrunk The Kids - Didn't actually watch this one, but saw parts of it while I was dubbing a video it was on. This movie sucks. The teens who fall in love in this movie make no sense. The girl looks like somebody's mom and the dude looks like a lesbian.

I also watched the 3 hour Countdown to Summerslam '89 or something like that. Bobby Heenan is a genius.
